Japanese Gardens and Relaxing

Portland Japanese Gardens. Proclaimed one of the most authentic Japanese gardens outside Japan. Its Beautiful, Peaceful, Energizing, and Enlightening. This is def. some where to go if you need to get away. Why not hike into it from Washington Park trails :) We came here for Mothers day for my mom. I took her to get some Chai Tea at DB's. I know it would have been cooler to have the tea there...maybe another day. Or at the Chinese Gardens. We came here with a Cultural Pass from the library. What a great thing they do. If you don't know about Cultural passes, check them out at your local library!!

Green

O excited he found something that looked like "Spanish" hahah we have been working on Spanish.

He found the Lion Dogs (click here to learn about them)...one of the things he had to find  in the kids Hidden Treasure Hunt.

Beautiful picture Nanna took of Mt. Hood.

Osian Goofin' again. We are working on Inside voices, his energy and Relaxing ..taking deep breaths to slow down.

The square shape symbolizes the earth. The center column is considered the "axle of the world" and the spire on top of the structure represents Buddha as master of the universe. Each level represents one of the five elements: wind, water, earth, fire and sky

Osian Relaxing. Taking deep breaths.

One of O's favs. on this museum trip. He liked the color and size of the fish.

In Memory of Grandpa Puerner. The "Thinking" Tree.
